Downtime

Well due to some unforseen downtime, we are back online seems that the service for the databases on the server crashed and had to be rebooted.
If they are any problems with anything then contact one of as-fansub admins and hopefully should be resolved quickly.
EDIT by shindouhikaru: Actually, we’ve been having some issues with the server during the weekend. Suddenly it lost connectivity. Yes, several other sites being hosted on the server also went down. So I’ve tried to contact my friend the admin of the server, which just had an unfortunate event in his life, to take care of it.
At the moment things seems to be running well after the reboot. So, as MAD have said above, if you encounter any problems you can just contact one of the admins/OPs in #as-fansubs @ irc.rizon.net. — SH
New Forum and Tracker Postponed For Fall Series

First of all, if you’ve been expecting the new tracker and forum, please pardon us about it. As the topic said, both have been postponed due to some problems integrating them. I’ll have the problems ironed out in time for our fall releases.
In the mean time, we need theme skinners for the forum and tracker. So if any of you can do that, feel free to contact either me or shinkuryu. You’ll be skinning for phpmybittorrent with integrated phpBB3.
So, for those who can skin, contact us, otherwise please just wait until these features are ready.

Something More Efficient & Something Cute

Hi guys and gals, it’s me again. No, not the same ones as the one who posted earlier. I’m just continuing the “Something” series. This post will tell you some things that may not be worthy of a newspost, but I’ll post it anyway, since it’s the start of the mid-year season and a good start month for a new browser (firefox 3.0).
The following are some technical changes to the latest releases column: HD and SD posting will no longer be separated, but have been merged into one. This means, you still have two choices of versions per episode to download. The HD version have higher resolution than the SD, thus you’d need more computing power to watch, but it’ll give you sharper picture and sometimes richer sound. If only one of those formats are available for an episode, then only HD or SD link will be shown. However, if both versions are available, then both will be shown. This way, it’s using less space than it was before, thus more efficient.
Now there’s also a change that reflect to cuteness and that unrelated to animes in general, but still have something to do with Japan. Since new version of Firefox were released this month, I posted a download link, the generic version. Now, it shows you “Foxkeh”, the mascot of Mozilla Japan, used to promote Firefox in Japan. The button looks more anime-ish too, so it fits with the things we do.
That’s all there is I have to tell you right now. I hope you enjoy the changes. More changes or additions will come from our web designer I think, so stay tuned.

Something New & Something Blue

Hello Everyone its been a while since ive actualy made a post on the site about any site updates,Well since the new Series Zero no Tsukaima S3 is kicking off and the first episode is now subed by non other than the staff at AS-Fansubs.
I was asked to make some new buttons for the site since ive lost the orginal file i used for them before , Went away and remade them and done a bit of touching up on them changed the image for the Dacapo II SS and added the new button in for the new series also changed some of the coloring, for the images as well and changing the text a little so they all match unlike before.
Also this week im going to be adding a new theme for the new series, going to be removing the hellsing theme as it is irrelevant to the site content (Watch This Space People.)

Search Engine Optimser
probally one of the big updates this basicaly allows us to be listed in most
of the major search engines like google etc and makes it easier for people to
find us also should get us more people to the site and into the comuninty.
Spoiler Tags
Spolier Tags Allows you to hide spoilers, then the users have a choice
if they want to look at it and see what the spoiler was, basicaly gives the user
a choice if they want to see what it is or not.

When Posting Vids remove the * its only here to show you an example of the code and to break the tag.
